Publication Proses

Jurnal Ekonomia follows a transparent, rigorous, and accountable publication process to ensure the highest academic standards. The journal applies a structured workflow that includes initial screening, rigorous peer review, editorial decision-making, preparation for publication, and final dissemination.

1. Submission Process

  1. Authors submit manuscripts through the journal’s online submission system.

  2. The manuscript must comply with the Author Guidelines and be relevant to the scope of economics or Islamic economics.

  3. The corresponding author receives a confirmation of submission.

2. Initial Editorial Screening

  1. The editorial team conducts a desk review to evaluate:

    • conformity with journal scope,

    • originality and plagiarism check (using Turnitin or equivalent tools),

    • completeness of submission files,

    • adherence to formatting requirements.

  2. Manuscripts that do not pass this stage are returned to authors for revision or rejected.

3. Peer Review Process

  1. Manuscripts that pass initial screening undergo a double-blind peer review.

  2. At least two independent reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on:

    • theoretical contribution,

    • methodological rigor,

    • clarity of analysis,

    • relevance to economics or Islamic economics,

    • overall scholarly merit.

  3. Reviewers provide recommendations:

    • Accept,

    • Minor Revision,

    • Major Revision,

    • Reject.

4. Revision Stage

  1. Authors must revise the manuscript according to reviewer comments.

  2. A detailed response to reviewers document must accompany the revised submission.

  3. The editor may send the manuscript for a second review if necessary.

5. Editorial Decision

  1. The final decision is made by the Editor-in-Chief or assigned Section Editor based on:

    • reviewer recommendations,

    • quality of revisions,

    • alignment with journal goals and standards.

  2. Decisions may include:

    • Acceptance,

    • Further Revision,

    • Rejection.

6. Copyediting and Proofreading

  1. Accepted manuscripts undergo professional copyediting, focusing on:

    • academic writing quality,

    • clarity and grammar,

    • consistency in terminology,

    • accuracy of references.

  2. Authors review and approve the final proofs before publication.

7. Layout and Typesetting

  1. The editorial production team formats the manuscript according to the journal’s style.

  2. Final galley proofs are generated for author confirmation.

8. Publication

  1. Articles are published online in the designated issue according to the journal’s publication schedule.

  2. Each article receives a DOI (Digital Object Identifier).

  3. Published articles are accessible under the journal’s Open Access policy.

9. Post-Publication

  1. Readers may submit comments, critiques, or post-publication discussions.

  2. If ethical issues arise, the journal follows its Publication Ethics and Retraction Policy to resolve concerns.

  3. Articles remain archived in the journal’s repository and indexed databases.
