Author Guidelines

Journal De Re Familia welcomes scholarly manuscripts from academics, researchers, legal practitioners, and students focusing on civil law and Islamic family law. Authors are expected to follow these guidelines to ensure that the editorial and publication process runs smoothly and meets international academic standards.

  1. Originality: Manuscripts must be original, not previously published, and not under consideration elsewhere. Maximum plagiarism tolerance is 20%.

  2. Types of Manuscripts: Research articles, conceptual papers, case studies, and literature reviews.

  3. Language: Manuscripts may be written in Bahasa Indonesia or English with proper academic style.

  4. Writing Format:

    • Article length: 5,000–8,000 words including abstract, tables, figures, and references.

    • Abstract in both Bahasa Indonesia and English (150–250 words), with 3–5 keywords.

    • Structure: Title, Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, References.

    • Citations and references must follow Turabian 9th Edition (Notes and Bibliography Style).

  5. Submission: Manuscripts must be submitted via Open Journal Systems (OJS) after registering as an author.

  6. Peer Review: All manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review. Acceptance, revision, or rejection is at the discretion of the editorial board.

  7. Plagiarism: Authors must ensure the manuscript is checked with plagiarism detection software and that the similarity index does not exceed 20%.

  8. Final Editing: Accepted manuscripts will undergo final editing in accordance with the editorial board’s instructions.
