Author Guidelines

1. General Information

REFA: Research in Finance and Accounting publishes original and high-quality manuscripts in the fields of accounting and financial management. Submitted manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under review by other journals.

Manuscripts must be written in English and comply with the journal’s scope and ethical standards.

2. Types of Articles

The journal accepts:

  • Original Research Articles

  • Conceptual Papers

  • Case Studies

3. Manuscript Structure

Manuscripts should be organized in the following structure:

  1. Title

    • Clear, concise, and informative

    • Maximum 16 words

  2. Author(s) Information

    • Full name(s) without academic titles

    • Institutional affiliation(s)

    • Corresponding author’s email

  3. Abstract

    • 150–250 words

    • Briefly describes research objectives, methods, results, and conclusions

  4. Keywords

    • 3–5 keywords

    • Separated by semicolons

  5. Introduction

    • Research background and problem formulation

    • Research gap and novelty

    • Research objectives and contribution

  6. Research Method

    • Research design and approach

    • Data sources, population, and sample

    • Data collection techniques

    • Data analysis methods

  7. Results and Discussion

    • Presentation of research findings

    • Interpretation and critical discussion of results

    • Comparison with relevant prior studies

    • Theoretical and practical implications

  8. Conclusion

    • Summary of key findings

    • Contributions to accounting and financial management literature

    • Limitations and recommendations for future research

  9. References

4. Formatting Guidelines

  • Manuscript length: 5,000–6,000 words

  • Paper size: A4

  • Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt

  • Line spacing: 1.5

  • Margins: 2.5 cm on all sides

  • Tables and figures must be numbered, titled, and cited in the text

5. Citation and References

  • References must follow APA Style (7th Edition)

  • All cited sources must appear in the reference list

  • Authors are encouraged to use recent and reputable references (last 5–10 years)

  • DOI must be included where available

6. Publication Ethics

Authors are required to:

  • Submit original work

  • Avoid plagiarism, data fabrication, and falsification

  • Properly acknowledge all sources

  • Disclose any conflicts of interest

Manuscripts exceeding the acceptable plagiarism threshold will be rejected.

7. Peer Review Process

REFA applies a double-blind peer review process. Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two reviewers. Editorial decisions include:

  • Accepted

  • Minor Revision

  • Major Revision

  • Rejected

8. Submission Process

Manuscripts must be submitted electronically through the journal’s Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform by registering as an author and following the submission steps.
